1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who, Painted Companions Adric & Turlough

Well the final two companions are completed, so that's all of the Citadel Doctors & Companions finished & the set is complete.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing them progress as much as I have painting them.

I think it will be Cybermen & UNIT next.
Wish I could find a Captain Yates for the UNIT squad, I've never seen one available anywhere!

1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who, Painted Companions Leela & Romana

Thats Two more of the Doctors Companions done, Leela & Romana. Leela isn't the best likeness & Romana I think definitely has the right sort of feel for her 😕

Anyway here's the picture

Only (in my personal opinion) two of the most annoying companions left, Adric & Turlough.

 Well I’ve got the 80s Citadel 4th & 5th Doctor's finished, so that's all of them completed.

There's four of the companions to complete, then some UNIT troops for the good guys.

And a picture of all Five Doctor's

1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who - Painted Plastic Daleks

Finally got round to painting some of the plastic Daleks that I'd managed to pick up way back in 2024 & had built! The Aircav Saga: Reinforcements Have Arrived

Just did a quick dark grey paint job on them & painted the bases more like the ones that I'm doing for the Doctors & Companions.

I also tweaked the bases of the existing Daleks to blend in better. I did notice that the plastic ones are a bit taller than the metal ones

1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who, Painted versions of The First & Second Doctors

I thought that I would paint some more of the old Citadel Doctor Who line, as I was on a bit of a roll & the 1st & 2nd Doctors were already cleaned up & undercoated.

I’ve actually tried to paint them in screen accurate colours, but it seems a little vague on the clothing colours, anywhere from yellow to grey for the trousers of the 1st Doctor, so I sort of went in between, still not sure if I should’ve painted the 2nd Doctors shirt pale blue! Anyway here’s the figures

And here's a picture with the 3rd Doctor

1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who, painted companions Sarah Jane Smith & K9, plus a Harlequin/Black Tree 4th Doctor

Finally got round to painting some old Citadel Miniatures Sarah Jane & K9 & a Black Tree/Harlequin 4th Doctor (even though I know I should be finishing the Pub!)

I haven’t painted this version of the 4th Doctor in any particular costume, I just went with something that feels right 😁

80’s Citadel Lord of the Rings Easterling

I’ve done some more 80’s Citadel goodness.

This is one of those figures that I really wanted to paint. I had, had the foot figure before but that disappeared a while ago & along came Adam & asked me to paint it for him 😁

Anyway here’s some more pictures

1980’s Citadel Miniatures Doctor Who, Intergalactic Busybody & Companion

I have finally got up the courage to paint the 80’s Citadel Third Doctor miniature & Jo Grant companion.

I had these figures for quite some time & have always been really worried about messing them up when I fling some paint at them, but I finally thought what the hell you’re not getting any better at painting so just go for it & I’m really pleased with how they’ve come out.

I have tried to paint Jo Grant in a representation of the costume she wore in Carnival of Monsters, which is what I think that the sculpted had in mind when he created her, as she is basically wearing most of that costume. The Third Doctor is I what I class as his classic costume, as it’s what I personally always think of him wearing. They are both on Black Cat Bases base inserts, & still need varnishing.

If anyone is still out there I hope you like them too.

Cheers

Rangers of Shadow Deep Ranger & Companions

It’s only just dawned on me that I posted up a little battle report of Rangers of Shadowdeep
& hadn't actually posted the pictures of my Ranger & his companions yet.

The Ranger is from Reaper Miniatures, based on a piece of bark.

The Archer & Pavesier are from The Front Rank 100yrs War Range, Halberdier is from Black Tree Designs fantasy range & the Hobbit is from Alternative Armies, originally painted for Flintloque.

The Monk is a Trent Miniatures Friar Tuck, the Hound is an old Dark Elf Warhound from Marauder Miniatures & The Rogue is a multi part plastic Empire Miniature from Citadel.
