Pub for the Harbour

I've decided that the harbour village that I've slowly been building needs a pub to fill the empty space in the bottom left corner of the above picture.

This is the rough design that I've come up with (drawn the wrong hand though 🙄😂)

The next step was to design the windows & facade for the pub. I did these as a standard pattern for windows & doors, which meant that I could remove the side columns as necessary.
I contacted ks_creation on eBay (who I get the windows from for the other buildings) & asked if they could make them to my design & luckily for me they said yes.

This is the front 3 sections built & ready to add Cills & Headers & be rendered, I've added another door from the original design & the roof will be different as well.

FIRE UP THE QUATTRO

Got an Audi Quattro From Kore Aeronautics Via Chris at Sally 4th.

Its a 3d resin print, so I gave it a wash & a quick rub down all over 😏 before applying any paint.

Then just painted it red!

The Number plate is a bit of plastic with a paper printed number plate glued on

Gene Hunt & Alex Drake For Pulp Alley

The next Pulp Alley games day is going to be Detective Duos, so I thought that I would like to do Gene Hunt & Alex Drake from The Ashes to Ashes TV series.

Problem was no-one makes the 80's version of Gene Hunt or an Alex Drake, so I looked at whats available & went with the Geezers Shut It range of figures from Killer B Games.

They have the 70's version of Hunt & a Female Figure called 'Sporty Girl' which I thought would be a good donor figure

Gene Hunt & Sporty Girl from the Killer B Games Website

I had found the picture above online & decided to try to make the Killer B Games Miniatures
look like the characters in the picture!

Gene Hunt was the easiest to convert as all he needed was the tie, the lapels on the coat & shirt trimming down to be a bit more 80's.
I also had to lengthen the coat & add a belt, I did this with some Brown Stuff & a bit of Green stuff to tidy it up.

The 'Sporty Girl was more of a challenge. The edges of the shorts needed trimming off to make them look like the jeans. Then the top of the socks needed trimming back & a trainer details cleaning off so that I could make them look like the boots.
The bottom of Her hair also had to be cut back as well & the hand on the hip, detached from the hip.
The next Job was making the leather Jacket, this I fashioned from Green Stuff, followed by Green Stuffing some Hair.

Then it was a case of basing them & Flinging paint at them.

I also picked up a Policeman with Truncheon to use a Level 1 Backup, but I didnt do any converting to this figure just painted it up.

Overall I'm happy with how they came out.

Lead Adventure Forum Build Something Contest Building Revisited

I originally planned to make this building in February 2024 for the LAF Build Something contest.

I had it all designed & the walls cut out.

Then i thought it would be a goo idea to put the impact driver bit through the forefinger of my left hand & of course it went septic & I couldn't use it for about 6 weeks, which stopped any hobby related modeling completely.

So nearly 2 years later I thought that I'd better get off my arse & finish it 😂

I finished cutting out all the windows & doors, then got all the walls glued together.
The Doors, Windows, Head & Cills were all added next, then followed by the Yard floor & some paving round the front.
Then built the roof & Chimney, adding barge boards & Fascia's

Then using a mix of powder filler & PVA rendered the building

I wasn't entirely happy with the yard floor so I cut It off & made it the same as the Garage floor.

I needed to a Lamp to go above the doors so this building could be used as Police Station, I had already glued magnets into the walls to allow it to be removed.
I had been given a 3d printed Lamp already & needed to make a gallows bracket for it sit on.
I cut a piece of metal from a coffee tin, drilled a couple of holes in it & glued in a bent piece of paperclip. I then bent more paperclip to look like a scroll work infill

The building was all painted in various shades of Beige Brown & the roof a slate colour, with the doors & windows in Black

I will hopefully be using this with the Tenement Building & Quay in the upcoming Pulp Alley UK Games Day

Bandits & Villagers for Pulp Alley's 'The Bounty Scenario'

I'm taking two tables to the next Pulp Alley UK Games Day, as well as the re-skinned the Hollow, the other is The Bounty, where the Leagues are searching for a group of bandits (Which are the Major Plot Point)

I've just used whatever desert terrain I have, to represent what I think that an Old West  Mexican village would look like.

For the Bandits I Got Some Figures from the Gringo 40's Mexican Revolution range. These are nice miniatures but some of the rifles look a bit small on some of the figures, so I swapped them for other guns or a rope.

For the four minor plot points I've used some 1st Corps Miniatures Villager Figures, these are The Woman, The Beggar & The Kid.
For The Stranger Plot point I decided it would be good to paint & use the Wargames Illustrated Giants in Miniature figure of  Alan Quatermain, as he looked suitably Western to me & he really needed painting.

The Hollow - Old West Re-skin

Instead of the Old woman for The Hollow scenario, that I will be taking to the Old West Pulp Alley Games day, I've decided to use a Native American From The Silver Bayonet Range.
He is from the Trading Company Unit in the Canada Supplement.

Also He needed a Tepee to Live in & as I didn't have one anymore I had to make one!
For this I used some bots of wire & another clean washed baby wipe.
I first made a pattern & cut out the baby wipe Glued the wire together & stuck on the outer layer.

I didn't do a very good job of getting it central though! It was then covered in a few layers of PVA glue to harden the exterior.
I’ve painted it in various shades of beige & off white & the poles in Foundry Spearshaft triad.
If I get chance or the inclination, I might put some patterns on it.

Next it is the Major plot point, rather than looking for a grave the players have to find the magic tools to stop a Wendigo

The Hollow Re-Skin - Burial Scaffold

I loosely based the Burial Scaffold on the image above for the Hollow Re-Skin For The Old West Pulp Alley Games Day.
For this, I just used some plastic rod that I had & broke it up into various lengths, this was then scored with a razor saw to get a wood effect & glued it all together.

I added some lengths of Cotton to look like it was lashed together & a skull & feathers to make to make them a bit more interesting.

They were painted with the usual old wood recipe that I used on the Ramshackle Church
